Vegetarian review: - mushroom toast: tasty and sharable. The mushrooms were great- grilled or sautéed or something, but savory and warm. Sauce was creamy and really made the dish. Bread- soft where it should be soft, and crispy where it should be crispy. - lomo saltado: replaced meat with mushrooms. Pretty good. Not exactly memorable, but pretty good. - yuca fries: the least interesting. Came with 2 sauces- mint and a cream one. Warm and crisp, but underwhelming. Service was great. Personable and pleasant. Parking wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (Thursday, 7.45pm). Street parking

First time in Portland but we had a fun time exploring and hiking - ended the night with a delicious meal at Andina. It is beautifully decorated and they have crated a relaxing environment with music in the background and very kind employees. We had yummy scallop ceviche (it could have used more salt and picante and some chips) and then we had the Lolo asaltado and the Gnocchi with yummy mushrooms. I was worried about being full with the sizes but it all worked out so yummy I left feeling very satisfied and full. I drank the lemonade and my partner a local OR guava cider which I am going to be looking for her in Seattle. I would come back especially for celebrations. I plan on coming back after finishing my first year of law school in a few weeks! :)

Visited Andina for the first time while visiting Portland, Oregon with my high school classmate. I have tried Peruvian cuisine once before, however this was an experience by comparison. My impression of the restaurant's interior was refined and elegant, yet soothing with lots of earth tones and wood compliments. The wait staff was accommodating and informative. The menu provided enough options without being overwhelming. My classmate requested a Brazilian caipirinha cocktail with passion fruit infusion. She enjoyed it so much she requested another during the meal. We had appetizers of beef empanada, chicken anticucho skewer, yuca frita. All three appetizers were flavorful, however my empanada had egg inside, which was not a menu ingredient. My waitress brought it to the manager's attention, as the other empanada on the menu mentioned it in its description. For entrees, I had the Lomo Saltado, thin portions of beef from the scapula region of the fore limb with grilled tomatoes, onions and potato fries in a soy based sauce with jasmine rice. This dish was superb. The Asian fusion brought this dish to perfection. My classmate decided on the Landroc Pork, a 12 ounce bone in chop with grilled cabbage and roasted corn cut off the cob, kimchi plus an aioli sauce. She loved her dish and also acknowledged the Asian fusion of her dish. We wanted to forgo dessert until we saw the menu. The Pot de Crème de Chocolate perfectly rounded out the meal. Our only complaint was the restaurant got acoustically loud at times. The dark chocolate custard, filberts and the marionberry jam is like no other dessert combination I tried previously. A return visit to Andina is a must on a future visit to Portland, Oregon

So many bold flavors! Andina has been a staple in the Pearl District and for good reason - delicious exciting cocktails, great warm ambiance, tons of veggie/vegetarian/vegan options. This is a great special occasion restaurant and I love their bar/lounge area as well. Service is always professional and friendly. Enjoy it!

Andina offers a delightful dining experience with flavorful and well-executed dishes. While they are less Peruvian-forward in terms of spice or sauce, all every plate we tried was super flavorful and tasty. For four people, we ordered 4 appetizers, 2 main dishes and 1 dessert and we were satisfied. Service was outstanding. Our server, Alicia, made the experience even better by thoroughly explaining each dish with detailed description and ingredients, making them even more enticing before we took a bite. She also provided excellent recommendations, and our water glasses were never empty. Reservations are highly recommended for weekends, as the restaurant can get busy. Overall, a great spot for a flavorful meal with top-notch service!

A place with great service. The ambiance of the place is amazing. It does stand out in terms of view from other places. The food was delicious. However it seemed a bit pricey. Besides that it's a nice place to go out for celebrations I guess. They have nice beers too from outside the USA.

Went to celebrate both our parents' 80th birthdays. We got there early and they were able to accommodate our large party right away. Food, drinks, and service was impeccable, well-presented, and flavorful. Do not skip out on dessert. The Pot du Crème with blood orange was heavenly!

Atmosphere: Sophisticated, upscale without being dressy. Food: Loved the ceviche, which was probably the highlight. Salad was a big miss. The Lomo Salgado was a good portion size and overall pretty good, but the meat was a bit overcooked and frankly, I've had equally delicious Lomo Saltado from food carts. The Pollo a La Parilla was pretty good, but not cheap for chicken. Price: Prices are high for what it is. Granted, it's an upscale restaurant that is popular so no surprise but expect to pay more for the name and experience than for the best Peruvian food in the area. Service: Service was good. We changed our reservation multiple times and they were always very accommodating. Parking: Street parking.

Best Peruvian food I've ever had, and with such a nice dining experience. We made a reservation in advance so we were seated immediately upon arrival. We got a nice booth and it felt like we had our privacy so we can be present for one another. The yuca frita was a nice starter. The lomo saltado was delicious with tender meat chunks. I loved the addition of tomatoes to this dish. The arroz con mariscos was muah; scarf that down! Flavorful rice with a variety of seafood. I have had similar dishes at other restaurants and these plates at Andina were the best executed and tastiest versions! The sprinkles on top was when the owner came around to greet us. It was warm and welcoming, and a nice touch to our experience. I highly recommend coming here when you're around the area, or make the trip here!
